Welcome to Seven Seas! Seven Seas, a family owned and operated business, was established in 1977 by the late Phil Cohagan. Phil was a pioneer of diving in Louisiana. He had a lifelong dream of owning a full service store catering exclusively to divers and snorkelers. Phil realized his dream in April 1977 and his family continues his legacy today.

Seven Seas is the only full service scuba center in the Baton Rouge area. We have our very own on-site heated 15 foot deep pool, an on-site classroom, well stocked retail store featuring Scubapro diving equipment as well as a full service repair facility. Seven Seas’ custom designed, on-site indoor pool facility allows students and customers the opportunity to practice their skills, check out their equipment and take classes at their convenience rather than using a crowded public facility.

If you are interested in scuba lessons in Louisiana, Seven Seas is the right choice for you. Seven Seas offers
instruction under NAUI qualified instructors and staff. NAUI’s motto is ‘dive safely through education’. Unlike
some programs that offer only pool instruction, NAUI’s comprehensive program incorporates
both classroom academic and pool skills insuring that students are confident and
competent in their abilities. NAUI’s new eLearning programs offers students the
choice between a complete in store instructor guided program or an at
home academic learning program combined with an in store pool program.
Seven Seas also provides private classes for groups or individuals.
These can be given on site at Seven Seas or at your own home.

In addition to our retail store, we are proud to offer scuba gear rentals.

other brand name quality products for divers and snorkelers.
When taking part in our scuba diving lessons,
your safety comes first. Our equipment is
on-site and our rental equipment is
inspected on a regular basis.
