After seeing my year and a half old daughter, Amber, fall into
the pool for the second time, I knew that I had to do
something to help prevent a fatal accident. I enrolled her in
ISR lessons and watched in amazement as she progressed though
swimming and floating then rolling over to her back to
breathe. The whole time I knew that this was something that I
wanted to do; Take my love for the water and my love for
teaching children and to combine them into one great
experience.
I have been teaching adult and adolescent swim lessons here in
Baton Rouge for 9 years. I am a
NAUI certified
Scuba Diving Instructor and CPR/First Aid Instructor. Every
summer I offer snorkel and scuba camps to children ages 5 and
up. I have a degree in liberal arts and I was in the
elementary education program at Southeastern University when I
discovered the ISR program and started on the path to become
an instructor.
My goal is to provide Baton Rouge and surrounding area parents
with an extra layer of protection for their children. Please
remember that nothing can take the place of constant adult
supervision and water barriers (www.wowsafety.com).
Please take a moment to look over this site, if you have any
questions about the ISR program or your child's training
please feel free to contact me.

I have been married for 7 years and have two children,
Victoria, 4, and C.J, 3. I have lived in Gonzales, LA my
entire life, and I am so excited to be able to bring life
saving skills to the children of this area. I have always had
a passion for children and a love of swimming. Throughout my
high school years, I was a dance instructor and a member of
the swim team. I went on to graduate from LSU with a
bachelor’s in Elementary Education. After completing college,
I was privileged enough to able to stay home with my children
before planning to work in the public school system.
Once I learned of ISR’s survival swim lessons in Baton Rouge,
I immediately registered both of my children. As they
progressed through lessons, I was amazed at the skills they
were learning and decided to pursue becoming an instructor. I
feel blessed to be able to equip your children with the skills
necessary to save their life, and to bring these lessons
closer to the people of Gonzales and Prairieville.
Every time I see a student roll onto his/her back and float, I
get goose bumps. I look forward to working with your children,
so they too will have these vital water safety skills. Please
